Meteor showers in late July

While Americans associate with fireworks first weekend in July, with its July 4th celebration of Independence Day, which is found in skywatching our shows in late July, with more showers reach their climax in the final week of month.

As a long-time readers already know, meteor showers, the pieces of mushrooms sand and gravel left over from outgassings on comets. Some of these have been documented in modern history. The majority, however, isperform for thousands of years, and a handful could be nearly a hundred thousand years ago.
